Originally from Panama, Lamont Arthur is a versatile solo performer with the sound and energy of an entire band. When you see and hear this master musician you will witness someone who truly loves what he does with a passion that is also infectious. Although Lamont performs solo, what you will hear belies what you see. Being a studio engineer, Lamont creates the backing tracks which include background vocals, hypnotic beats, and lush arrangements that rivals just about any group. He plays the keyboards, drums and sings along with the tracks to create an awesome visual and aural experience. Over his 35-year career, Lamont has developed an extensive repertoire ranging from Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Ballads, Contemporary, Latin and Blues. Lamont has amassed countless recording credits and was the recipient of the 2012 Local Jazz Hero Award presented by the Jazz Journalist Association and The Jake Feinberg Show.
