Combining “passionate feeling with intricate patterns of improvisation”, Charles McPherson claims an all-star cast of “who’s who” on his career playlist. During a career spanning four decades, twelve years were spent performing with the legendary Charles Mingus. McPherson has toured the US, Europe, Japan, Africa and South America and has recorded as guest artist with numerous jazz greats including Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.Charles was also the featured alto saxophonist in the Clint Eastwood film “Bird,” a biography about Charlie Parker.

Joining Charles will be local favorites, Jeff Haskell, piano; Scott Black, bass and Pete Swan, drums.
