Join us at 7PM on July 5 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort Kiva Ballroom for "The West Coast Cool Show!"
Platinum award winning jazz vocalist/lyricist, Mark Winkler meets Cheryl Bentyne, member of The Manhattan Transfer, and sparks fly. This duo is intent on proving how cool the West Coast Cool Jazz scene of the 50s still is. Together and separately they perform songs by Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker, Julie London and Bobby Troup and others, all the while weaving in never-before heard stories of the originators of "West Coast Cool." Prepare yourself for an unforgettable evening as these two hipsters send the music down as smoothly as an vodka martini on a warm summer night. This show is definitely a hit!
The duo recently came off of a sold out tour throughout the country, hitting such cities as Toronto, LA, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Indianapolis where they were greeted with sold out Houses and standing ovations.

"The SHOW was off the charts! I can honestly say it was the best jazz show I have ever experienced…" –Chris Loudon, Jazz Times
has been a member of the 9 time Grammy winning group The Manhattan Transfer since 1979. Bentyne's beautiful voice, wide range, versatility, and impressive stage presence made her a major asset for the popular vocal group from the start. Her recently released album, Let's Misbehave: The Cole Porter Songbook
, has been recognized by many as the jazz album of the year. Recently Ms. Bentyne performed the music of Cole Porter at the Broward Performing Arts Center (Fort Lauderdale) to a nearly sold out House. Bentyne not only delivered the music of Cole Porter as no one else can, sprinkled throughout the show were love letters written by Cole Porter himself. The audience was delighted and Bentyne received two standing ovations.
