| Jazz Radio in the Old Pueblo-What do you think? |

TJS invades the airwaves...maybe.
Hi there, everyone. So, for a while now we've felt a need for a jazz radio station in Tucson. There just is not enough of the good stuff coming across the airwaves on a regular basis. We know that it's possible to hear jazz on the air in Tucson, and even on the internet, but we think there should be more jazz...period. The Tucson Jazz Society is kicking around the idea of developing a full-time FM jazz radio station, one that would play a mixture of smooth jazz, classic straight-ahead jazz, and the mainstream jazz of today. In other words, we'd have something for every musical taste, from Everette Harp and Rick Braun, to Miles, Monk, and Trane. Here's the tough part, though. We need your feedback, because we're in the business of pleasing you...our members and the jazz community at large. So I'll pose the question and await the answer. What would you like to hear? Would you listen to a full time jazz station? If you were a business owner, would you advertise on such a station? Let me know. Send me an email to Doug.Mayes@jobing.com and let me know your thoughts. Take it light! Doug |
