Return of the TJS blog
Buckle your seat belt folks, TJS is returning to the blog-o-sphere!

Hi there, everyone.  I'm Doug Mayes, a TJS board member, part-time saxophone holder, and full-time lover of jazz.  I'm really excited to let you know that the Tucson Jazz Society blog is back in business.  What the heck is a blog anyway?  Well, a blog is a casual way to post information on the internet.  The cool thing is that the good folks out in cyberspace can post a response to what I've had to say, ask a question, and create a dialogue.  We're gonna use this blog as a way to do a couple of things....

  •  Get the word out about all the great concerts, events, and services that the Tucson Jazz Society will bring to it's members
  • Encourage folks to understand, love, and appreciate jazz...America's classical music and most vibrant living art form
  • Engage YOU in a conversation about what you'd like to see from TJS.  What artists would you like to hear?  Who did you like?  Who didn't you like?  What would you like to see from us next time?

The Tucson Jazz Society has been around for 31 years.  Did you know that?  I'm here to tell y'all that we're gonna be around for 31 more, keeping it swinging hard, putting it right in the pocket where it belongs!  Keep your eyes glued to this blog because it will provide with all the info you need to pat your foot righteously.

 That's all for now,

 Doug
