Jazz is a transcendent art form, a confluence of cultures that progressed from the slave fields of the south, blossoming in the Jewish and African American ghettos of New York City, eventually making its way into the hearts and minds of musicians and music lovers across the globe. This musical review takes the audience from the swinging jazz that brought America to its feet in dance halls across the U.S. in the 1930 and 40s, to the Brazilian bossa nova craze that swept the nation in the 1950s and 60s.
